Young Women Talent Show Activity
Celebrate the unique gifts of your Young Women with a meaningful and fun talent show activity! Get planning tips, ideas, and inspiration to help every girl feel seen and valued.

This past April, our Young Women group hosted a talent show—and it turned out to be one of the most memorable nights of the year! The room was filled with laughter, cheer, and a whole lot of girl power as each young woman took the stage to share something that made her shine.
To make the night even more meaningful, the leaders joined in too, sharing their talents so the girls could see another side of the women who support them each week.
It was such a heartwarming, confidence-boosting night that we’ve decided to make it an annual tradition. Every girl left feeling seen, celebrated, and deeply valued.
If you’re looking to plan a similar activity, I’m sharing all the details from our event—plus tips to help make your own Young Women talent show a success!
Talent Show Decor

Easel | Sequin Backdrop | PVC Stand | Balloon Garland | Gold Stars
One of the talents I shared with the girls is event planning so I went all out with the decor! The girls loved the photo backdrop and stars with all of their names on the wall. I wanted them to feel like they were at a movie premier!
We dimmed the lights in the gym so it felt more like an event and the spotlight was on the girls.
Talent Show Outline

We asked the girls to tell us what talent they would be sharing and then I made a schedule to space out the music and art talents so there weren’t so many back-to-back. Here are some of the talents we saw:
- Trumpet performance
- Ballroom dancing
- Artwork
- Carpentry
- Book recitation
- Singing
- Track meet event
- Guitar performance
- Volleyball skills
Our girls and leaders are so talented! I was so impressed with the variety of talents and it was so fun to see them shine! We used a TV from the library so we could share videos girls had of talents they couldn’t show live.
Another talent I shared with the girls was photography so it was fun to take their pictures showing off their talents.
Talent Show Food

Everyone who didn’t share their talent during the official show, provide our delicious refreshments!
We had sourdough bread, vanilla cake, peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats, and chips and salsa. It was an easy way to have something for the girls to enjoy after the show.
