Surviving Baby’s First Year

I can’t believe our little miss will be one in less than a month! This first year with baby number two has flown by so quickly!

Having two kids now has really changed how much free time I have. I remember when Hudson was one, I would count down the hours until my husband got home from work. Now, it seems like there’s not enough hours in the day, and my husband is home too soon! It’s crazy how things change from one child to two.

But now that we’ve had two kids, I was telling my husband that we could probably add 50 more and it wouldn’t seem so bad. We’re not going to have that many kids (ha!) but I think once you have two, it’s easier to add more.

Having two kids has also changed how much fun we have! I love that there’s one child for each Jordan and I to give attention to. It makes family outings to the grocery store, to the park, and out to eat so much more fun! Because we have one of each, I love seeing how personalities and mannerisms differ between boys and girls.

For example, Hudson crawled pretty earlier, but didn’t walk until 11 months. He also loved to look at books and play with blocks from an early age.

Ella, crawled at 8 months, but walked at ten months! She also has been talking earlier, saying more words like “baby” “quack” and sometimes “mama.” We’ve been seeing so many changes in Ella the last few weeks, it’s really apparent she’s not my baby anymore!

And the biggest change is that we’re not nursing anymore, so she’s eating more table foods.

And that means more laundry!

Having two kids has changed two loads of laundry into four or five!

Thankfully, Carter’s has the cutest Little Baby Basics collection so I’m not having to do laundry as often. I love their original bodysuit packs that comes with four or five adorable onesies! The prints are so adorable and I just pair them with one of the matching leggings to make getting Ella dressed in the morning a breeze. And if she gets messy during lunch (which she always does) I can just throw on another bodysuit without having to change her entire outfit.

And those bodysuits make the best baby shower gift! I’ve loved all of the Carter’s bodysuits I’ve gotten and now I love their new Little Baby Basics collection even more because they fit perfectly, have expandable shoulders, and reinforced snaps for easy changes. Plus, at $15 for 5 bodysuits, each one is only $3!

I also loved the cute pink outfit I picked up that’s part of their baby clothes bundle. It makes stocking up for spring and summer a breeze!

To make stocking up even easier for you, here’s a coupon to save 20% on your order of $40 or more now through 7/4! You can get all of your baby’s clothes for summer in one trip!

Happy Shopping!
