I love switching my decor with the changing seasons! I don’t usually decorate for the holidays, but more for the seasons so that I can keep the same decor up for several months.
When it comes to the front porch, I usually just put a wreath out on our front door and set out the pumpkins we carve and call it good. But since we’ve been in our home for over a year now, I figured it was time to get some more fall decor to spruce up our entryway and make it inviting for friends and family.
I decided to check out Lowe’s this year since I knew I wanted to include fresh flowers as part of my front porch decor and they always have an awesome selection. While I was there I grabbed several other pieces to really make my porch festive and trendy.
As I mentioned above, I always like to have a wreath on my door, so I picked one for my front door, and one to match my decor inside. Wreaths are such an easy way to decorate and I am so impressed with the quality of these Lowe’s wreaths. For a home improvement store, they have some really great fall decor items! That’s one of the reasons I love shopping at Lowe’s. I can get everything I need for my house there! Even my home decor.
Like the faux white pumpkins, burgundy and white mums, and that fun, rustic planter box I used on my porch.
And let’s talk for a second about faux decorations…
I love them! I usually only use faux flowers and plants when I decorate. Fresh flowers smell and look amazing, but they only last for so long. I love that Lowe’s has these white pumpkins available because now I can set them out for years to come without having to hunt at the stores for fresh ones and spend money on them every year. I did decide to use mums this year because they were a great price and I love the mix of the faux and fresh it brought to my porch. The best of both worlds!
So when you’re out picking up supplies for your home improvement projects this weekend, swing by the decor section in your local Lowe’s and grab some pieces to make your home inviting and fall festive!
