We all have that one space in our home that’s been a little neglected. In our house, it’s our playroom! I’m all about decorating on a budget, so I’ve updated all of the rooms in our house to have white, blush pink, and gold decor, except our playroom. I just didn’t think I could decorate it how I wanted affordably even though it was in serious need of an update! But, I got lucky and discovered affordable kids playroom decor at Tuesday Morning that made it all possible! Here are some of the before pictures so you can see how good this transformation was!
Since we have friends over for play dates frequently, I wanted to add a chic sitting area to my forgotten playroom; somewhere that I could sit and chat with my mom friends while still keeping an eye on the kiddos (the floor is only comfortable for so long, ya know *wink)!
To be completely honest, I had never stepped foot inside one of the Tuesday Morning home decor stores until now, and boy, have I been missing out! They have TONS of quality products at AMAZING prices. If you like decorating on a budget as much as I do, then you will LOVE Tuesday Morning’s amazing low-cost products and large selection! I mean…look at how good this space looks now!
I had no trouble finding all of the blush pink, white, and gold accents I was looking for at Tuesday Morning! Their variety of affordable home decor is perfect for anyone’s personal style!
I was really impressed with their furniture selection! It was tough for me to pick just one end table; they had so many options I liked! And all of them were such a great deal! The Tuesday Morning I visited also had lots of modern chairs and cabinets that would look great in any space!
Since each of the pieces I picked from Tuesday Morning really expresses my personal style, I want to share a little more detail about why I picked each home accent to give you something to think about when you’re transforming your forgotten space!
What do You Put in a Playroom?
Side table: I knew I wanted a side table so I could put a lamp on it to help brighten the space. The lamp I found has a beautiful design, but it clashed with the original side table I picked out. I love the one I ended up taking home because it adds some height to the space and the glass top matches the shelving in my living room.
Upholstered bench: I also knew I wanted a bench of some sort so the moms would have a comfortable place to talk! The one I came home with was only $80! Such an amazing deal!
Blush Rug: I grabbed this rug to place in front of my sitting space, but it didn’t really fit. Instead of returning it, I decided to lay it over the bench to break up all of the white color. I think it looks great there! Plus, it will keep the white bench safe from any greasy fingers 😉
Fluffy Pillow: The pillow selection at Tuesday Morning is amazing! They had shag pillows, sequin pillows, and I even found a gray one with feathers around the edge that was so pretty and unique! I ended up picking a pale pink pillow to help tie in the other blush pink and white decor.
Faux fur stool: I wasn’t planning on getting this stool, but once I saw it, I knew it would go perfectly with my personal style! It adds an extra seat for little ones and looks amazing in the space!
Prints: I wanted something to hang on the wall to give some dimension to the space. The two prints I found are such great quality and they were only $30 each! I found the cactus print first and debated on whether it would look the best with all of the blush pink. Then as I was wandering the isles, I found the gold bicycle print that matched perfectly!
Organizing bin: I did not want to let go of the cactus print, so I found this organizing bin to clear some of the clutter off our toy cabinet so I could hang the print in the empty space. Isn’t it amazing??
Candle: I didn’t want the lamp to be along on the side table, so I looked around at the faux plants and didn’t find anything I absolutely loved so I looked at the dishes (which were amazing) but didn’t seem to fit on the table. Then I saw the candles and this gorgeous blue one immediately popped out at me! It adds a nice color to the space and, bonus, it smells amazing too!
