Host a memorable Charlie Brown Thanksgiving party with these fun, kid-friendly ideas inspired by the Peanuts classic! From a Snoopy-themed meal to a movie showing, these ideas will bring laughter and holiday charm to your gathering.
Back in 2020 I threw my kids a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving party. They were 6 and 4 at the time and it was the perfect age for the party!
So if you’re looking to create a Thanksgiving celebration with charm, nostalgia, and a little dose of whimsy, a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving party is the perfect choice!
This theme is ideal for family gatherings, the classroom, or just for the littles in your neighborhood.
Imagine Snoopy-inspired snacks, games based on the iconic scenes, and activities that bring out the best of Thanksgiving traditions.
Whether you’re hosting young children or just want to relive some memories, these ideas will help you create a Thanksgiving everyone will remember and enjoy!
Party Decorations
I actually didn’t do any decorations for this party (we had already decorated for Christmas at the time lol), but I love the idea of doing some generic Thanksgiving decorations with a few Charlie Brown items placed throughout. And that large coloring page would be a great activity for the kids while they eat!
- Pom poms and tassels
- Thanksgiving coloring page
- Charlie Brown banner
- Thanksgiving triangle flags
- Charlie Brown window clings
Party Food
Of course you have to have the iconic food at this party! We served buttered toast, popcorn, jelly beans, and pretzels! The food is so easy because it’s mostly stuff kids will eat and they think it’s so fun to have jelly beans during November!
The Jelly beans can be a little tricky to find this time of year, so you can get some on Amazon!
Party Activities
For activities we had to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving of course and then I also had a craft planned for the kids to make and take home!
There are lots of fun Thanksgiving craft ideas down below you can incorporate too!
More Ideas
Here are several other activities you can incorporate at your Charlie Brown Thanksgiving party:
- Popcorn Stringing: Inspired by the iconic popcorn scene, let kids make edible popcorn garlands or simply create strings for decoration. Use big, fluffy popcorn and add cranberries or colorful cereal for a pop of color.
- Charlie Brown Thankful Tree: Set up a small tree or branch, and have paper leaves for kids to write or draw things they’re thankful for. Attach each leaf to the tree with a clothespin or tape.
- Football Toss Game: Just like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown, set up a football toss game. Have a safe foam football or beanbags and a bucket as the “goal.”
- DIY Snoopy Snack Mix: Use the popcorn, pretzel sticks, jelly beans, and mini toast chips, so kids can create their own snack mix to take home after the party!
- Pumpkin Bowling: Use mini pumpkins as bowling balls and empty soda bottles (decorated with Peanuts characters) as pins. It’s simple and so much fun for little ones!
- “Great Pumpkin” Hunt: Even though it’s Thanksgiving, you can hide mini pumpkins or small Snoopy figurines around the space for a fun twist on a scavenger hunt.
