Mommy and Me Workout at the Park

Did you know I used to hate drinking water??? 

It's crazy really. I guess that's what happens when you grow up drinking juice, soda, and Capri Suns every day. Thankfully, once I had my first baby and I was nursing, I started craving water. I couldn't get enough!

Now, I can tell the days when I don't get enough water. I feel sluggish and tired and my mouth is so dry... I need a drink right now, in fact!

 

To help me remember to drink enough water, I usually carry around a big mug with a straw, but that can be super bulky and messy in the car. I love packing Nestlé® Pure Life® water bottles when I take my kids to the park because they are small enough to go in my diaper bag and they have a lid to help with spills. 

Speaking of the park...now that the weather is getting nicer (thank goodness!) I know my kiddos are going to want to be outside more. So that means I have to get a little creative with finding a time to fit my workouts in. I'm so excited to share a variation of the 15 minute HIIT workout I do twice a week called....


Mommy and Me Park Workout
2 rounds
45 seconds on 15 seconds rest

Running ladders (This is the easiest one to get your kids involved in. My little guy loves running!)
Toe Taps on bench (If the kids need a little break, they can rest while you work)
High knees while they go down the slide
"Bench" jumps (take advantage of the equipment!)
Jumping Jacks 
Skaters
Butt Kicks


 
This workout is super convenient because you can do it while your kids are enjoying the playground and still keep an eye on them. And since every park is a little different, you can modify the workouts to fit the equipment you have. 

A few other ideas for some exercises:
Burpees while you push your child in the swing
Running stairs up to the slide with your child and back down again while they slide down


After a great workout, I can't get enough water! Especially if I'm exercising outside. I love how refreshing and great-tasting Nestlé Pure Life water bottles are. Every drop in every bottle of Nestle Pure Life is filtered through a 12-step quality process. So good!

And, of course, as soon as my kids see me drinking something, they want in on it too! But this is something that I feel 100% OK sharing with them.     2. I LOOOVE this! When the weather doesn't cooperate or my kids are sick, I use the app Sworkit and Rhys LOOOVES to "workout with me"
